How to use it
The serum works on both the scalp and the strands, and leaves hair feeling softer. For best results, make sure it reaches the scalp, not just the hair.
Method 1: Wash day boost
- Add 5 to 10 drops of the serum into your Ruutos shampoo of choice and mix through.
- Apply from tips to roots, then work it into the scalp section by section.
- Leave on the scalp for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Begin rinsing by washing your scalp with the pads of your fingers.
- Once your scalp feels clean, smooth all hair downward and rinse through.
- Follow with a Ruutos conditioner or hair mask and sit under a steamer for 15 minutes.
Method 2: Daily maintenance
- Spray the Ruutos Curl Refresher or Ruutos Curlyberry Leave-In Conditioner onto the affected area.
- Apply the serum directly over the top.
- Do this in the evening before bed so the serum settles in overnight.
- Repeat daily for consistent results.
Pro tip: Never apply oil over the serum. The serum is water soluble, not oil soluble, so oil layered on top will cause it to flake. Hydrate the scalp first, then apply the serum.
